Verve Motion • July 7, 2026 • Press Release
Global PPE leader HexArmor / uvex and International Airlines Group (IAG), one of the world’s largest airline groups, partner with Verve Motion to accelerate the adoption of wearable robotics across industrial and aviation workforces.
Cambridge, MA — July 7, 2026 — Verve Motion, the wearable robotics company pioneering powered, data-driven exosuits for industrial workers, today announced strategic partnerships and investments from HexArmor, a part of UVEX SAFETY GROUP GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, a global leader in personal protective equipment (PPE), and International Airlines Group (IAG), one of the world’s largest aviation groups and parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, IAG Cargo, IAG Loyalty, LEVEL, SOUTH and Vueling.
As part of the partnership, HexArmor will serve as a strategic global commercialization, distribution, and go-to-market partner for Verve Motion’s SafeLift™ exosuit, bringing wearable robotics into its industrial safety offerings and global customer channels. The companies will work together on joint go-to-market initiatives across manufacturing, logistics, construction, energy, warehousing, and other industrial sectors. IAG will evaluate Verve Motion’s technology across baggage handling and ground operations.
The partnerships represent a major milestone in the evolution of industrial safety, signaling the convergence of traditional PPE and wearable robotics. As labor shortages, workforce injuries, and physically demanding jobs increase the challenges industrial employers face worldwide, companies are turning to technologies that improve worker protection, workforce sustainability, operational resilience, and human performance.
As a recognized global leader in PPE protecting millions of workers worldwide, HexArmor/uvex brings deep expertise serving industrial customers across manufacturing, logistics, construction, energy, and warehousing — industries where repetitive lifting and overexertion remain among the leading causes of workplace injury. By adding Verve Motion’s SafeLift™ exosuit to its offerings, HexArmor/uvex expands beyond traditional PPE categories into the emerging field of active wearable assistance.
For IAG, the partnership represents a forward-looking investment in the future of innovating frontline operations. Airport ground and baggage handling roles are among the most physically demanding jobs in commercial aviation. By introducing wearable robotics into daily operations, IAG is taking a proactive approach to improve working conditions for colleagues with advanced technologies designed to reduce fatigue, improve worker experience, and help create a safer, more sustainable future for aviation operations at scale.
“Industrial workers have been waiting far too long for safety technology to evolve alongside the physical demands of modern work. Together with HexArmor/uvex, we believe wearable robotics will define the next generation of worker protection by actively reducing strain, fatigue, and injury risk for workers performing physically demanding jobs every day. We believe wearable robotics will ultimately become as common in industrial environments as traditional PPE is today.”
— Ignacio Galiana, CEO & Co-founder, Verve Motion
“We’ve spent more than 20 years finding better ways to protect workers, and that’s exactly what drew us to Verve Motion. Our customers trust us to bring them the best solutions, not just the most familiar ones. SafeLift does something traditional PPE simply can’t — it actively supports the body while the work is happening. Wearable robotics is where industrial safety is heading, and we want to be the ones helping our customers get there.”
— Steve VanErmen, Founder & CEO, HexArmor
“IAG’s leadership demonstrates how forward-thinking organizations are investing in both operational excellence and employee wellbeing. IAG brings a unique perspective and deep understanding of the physically demanding nature of commercial aviation operations across its operating companies. Their commitment to deploying advanced technologies reflects the next generation of workforce innovation.”
— Ignacio Galiana, CEO & Co-founder, Verve Motion
“Verve Motion is exactly the kind of company we want to back through IAGi Ventures — a business applying innovative technology to solve real operational challenges. This partnership gives us the opportunity to test and shape the technology in a live operating environment while supporting more efficient operations.”
— Nacho Tovar, Group Innovation Director, IAG
Together, these partnerships reinforce the growing role of wearable robotics as a critical technology for improving worker safety, reducing physical strain, and enabling more resilient industrial operations worldwide.
